Zenith SA is a Swiss watch manufacture started in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot at the age of 22, in Le Locle.  Zenith has produced and distributed every possible type of watch over the course of seven generations, from the simple pocket watch to the most complicated calendar.  But it remains primarily associated with the El Primero caliber today, the first wristwatch chronograph movement boasting automatic winding and a frequency of 36,000 vph.  Only a few watch manufacturers had risked such a high oscillation frequency - and none of them in association with such complexity as the integrated chronograph mechanism and the bilaterally winding rotor of the El Primero.

Zenith has a long reputation for the quality and precision of their watches, with 1,565 1st-place precision awards to date.
