Laco Dortmund Handwound Pilot Watch

The Laco Dortmund is part of the Original Pilot Watch series and closely follows the design language of historic Beobachtungsuhren, the large navigation watches used by aviators. Its 45 mm sandblasted stainless steel case, oversized crown, and distinctive Type B dial recreate the instrument aesthetic that defined early pilot timepieces.
At the center of the watch is the handwound Laco 210 movement based on the Swiss Sellita SW210. The manual winding format reflects the mechanical character of traditional observation watches while offering reliable everyday performance. Thermally blued steel hands and luminous numerals maintain the strong legibility expected from an aviation instrument.

The Dortmund is one of the closest modern interpretations of the historic Type B navigation watch. The outer minute track and inner hour circle were designed to help pilots read time quickly during flight calculations. Combined with the large 45 mm case and riveted leather strap, the watch captures the presence and authenticity of the original aviation instruments.
