In 1951, Junghans introduced a chronograph that combined telemeter and tachymeter displays in a single watch. The Telemeter Limited Edition 27/3587.02 continues that history with the softly shaped case, technical dial architecture and balanced proportions associated with Junghans’ historic Meister design.

Its circular-brushed dark blue dial is surrounded by a grey telemeter ring with red printing and an outer tachymeter scale. Warm luminous numerals, sword-shaped hands and a red chronograph seconds hand create rich contrast, while the brown leather strap completes the watch’s distinctly vintage character.

The telemeter scale estimates distance by measuring the interval between a visible event and the arrival of its sound. A traditional example is starting the chronograph when lightning appears and stopping it when thunder is heard.

The tachymeter calculates average speed over a known distance. Junghans integrates both historic scales into the blue dial while preserving a symmetrical layout, with running seconds at 3 o’clock and the 30-minute chronograph counter at 9 o’clock.
